Creating your own Artwork?

Make sure your job looks great when printed by following our checklist:

Create your artwork using the correct dimensions from the product description

  • Save in PDF format
  • Convert RGB images to CMYK if possible
  • Use high resolution images
  • Don’t forget to add 3mm bleed for images than run off the page and tick (cutting) marks. Most programs will add these for you in PREPRESS or PDF PRINT READY settings.
  • Supply multi page documents with one page to view in page order. It is not necessary to supply pasted up pages.

Supply your artwork as a high resolution PDF with layers intact and fonts embedded. All colours, images and photos, should be in CMYK format if possible, we will convert RGB images to CMYK which could create colour shifts. Scans and images should be 300dpi or above to avoid pixelated images.

If you have A4 size artwork that needs reducing to A5 size or A4 size enlarging to A3 size or similar, we can easily reduce or enlarge your PDF file for you at the printing stage, just let us know in the notes box at the checkout.

Extra checks
Try not to make your colours too light – CMYK colour values should be kept above 10% for each colour value. If you are using big areas of black in your artwork for example, a black background – we recommend setting your black as C 30%, Y 0%, M 0%, K 100% instead of just K 100% to make the black richer.
